Après une enfance passée à Berne, son attirance pour les berges lémaniques l'a conduite à s'installer en Suisse romande. Sa curiosité et son sens de la créativité ont trouvé une terre fertile au département " creative marketing studio-parfumerie " de Firmenich, où elle a travaillé dans la créativité visuelle et à la recherche de nouvelles tendances durant dix ans. En 2006, Simone reprend la peinture par des paysages marins (huiles à la spatule). Quelques traits suffisent à créer la profondeur et entraîner l'œil dans un horizon mélancolique, bercé de quelques flots. Très vite, la musique s'invite comme une source d'inspiration majeure, donnant naissance à une envolée lyrique, de forte à pianissimo, sous la baguette du maître. Le besoin d'exprimer de nouvelles émotions trouve son expression au travers de l'encre de Chine, où la netteté côtoie le flou, où le velouté assagit la rugosité. Le mélange des techniques, l'utilisation de pigments métalliques, se jouent à leur tour des lumières, occasionnant autant d'ambiances propices à chaque luminosité. Pour Simone, l'art est comme un voyage intérieur. Sensibilité, spiritualité se mêlent à l'ardeur et la fougue, reflets de ses inspirations. Fine observatrice et esthète, Simone crée des mélanges de couleurs harmonieux, aux perspectives innovantes. Sa curiosité l'amène à explorer sans cesse de nouveaux horizons. A côté de ses peintures, Simone organise des événements autour de l'art (Brunchs'Art par exemple), avec un subtil mélange des genres. Autant de voyages vers l'éveil des sens, un pont entre artistes et amateurs d'art. •Biographical notes• english Simone Monney was born in Zurich, Switzerland. After spending her childhood in Bern, the pleasures of life overlooking Lake Léman inspired her to relocate to the French-speaking part of the country. Her curiosity and creativity flourished in the "creative perfume marketing" group of scent-maker Firmenich. For a decade, she specialized in visual creativity research and the investigation of new market trends. Simone Monney's early works were marine landscapes, oil paintings created with a spatula. With a few strokes she saw she could create a sense of depth, capturing the eye with moody, melancholic horizons lapped by waves. Very quickly, music asserted itself as a major source of inspiration, generating a sense of elation, from pianissimo to forte, as if impelled by a conductor's baton. Next, her urge to express new emotions found in Chinese Ink a choice medium where clear-cut meets blur and softness encounters roughness. Mixing and blending techniques and the use of metallic accents call light into play, allowing each style to find the most closely corresponding lighting mood. For her, art is much like a voyage into herself. Sensitiveness and spirituality interact with fervor and with enthusiasm, reflecting a multitude of inspirations. A keen observer with a strong sense of aesthetics, she assembles arrays of harmonious colors in groundbreaking perspectives. Her innate curiosity leads her ceaselessly to explore new horizons. Along with her painting, Simone Monney organizes art-based events like Brunch-Arts, with a subtle mix of types of art. Each in its own way an exploration of sensitivity and emotions, events of this kind resonate powerfully with artists and art lovers.
